Who the Beacon design suits
Beacon is for product, engineering, operations and project roles where a clean modern page with one touch of colour feels right. It suits mid-career professionals applying through online portals who want something less austere than a black-and-white page.
How the page is laid out
The name is large and bold at the left in Source Sans 3, with the role in blue beneath it and the contacts in one grey row. Section headings are bold blue words in sentence case, not capitals, on a thin blue rule. Bullets are small blue dots and links are blue. Everything else is slate type on white with no chips, icons or meters.
How it reads to an ATS
There is nothing decorative to filter out: the blue is only colour on real text and rules. Sentence-case headings such as "Experience" and "Education" are what parsers look for. One column, so entries and dates come out in order.
